Remember The 50K Note? Did You Spend This Note Back In The Day? (Photos)

Who still remembers the 50 kobo note? The 50k note was one of the 4 denominations (50k, ₦1, ₦5 and ₦10) to be introduced on January 1, 1973. Before the introduction of the Nigerian Naira-Kobo currency, the country had used the Nigerian pounds and shillings which were issued on the 1st of July 1959, and before 1959, Nigerians made use of different forms of money including cowries and manilas in a traditional form of exchange known as barter.
The image on the front of the 50k note is that of the Central Bank Building in Lagos, and at the back is that of log cutters. The watermark is a heraldic eagle. The notes were last issued in 1989 and were coined in 1991.
